About The Author
Just to share a little bit about myself, I was born in Washington, DC. I am the proud graduate of Central High School, and I earned an Associate of Arts in Legal Studies from Prince Georges Community College. I am currently working on finishing my Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies from the University of Maryland University College.
I currently work full-time for the Federal Government as a Program Specialist. While I enjoy writing I am looking forward to the day when I can make writing my full-time job. I am also the proud mother of a wonderful 28 year old daughter.
I began my love of writing while attending Lyndon Hill Elementary. I enjoyed getting writing assignments where I had to write about what I did over the summer or winter break. Often time, I would write stores just for my own enjoyment. The first story I wrote as an adult was entitled: The Beaver Family Picnic. The story was about a beaver family that spends the day by the lake having a family picnic and enjoying each other’s company.
My professional writing career began in 2008 when I signed on with Publish America. My first book entitled: 2310 Weary Lane came to be while I was in a meeting at work. I always laugh because the meeting I was in and my story have nothing to do with one another. My second book entitled: The Warehouse: Third Shift was also published by Publish America in 2009. You will find a list of my current projects in my bookshelf.
My love of writing comes from my love of reading. Those that know me well know that I am always reading. As soon as I am finished reading one book I start another. I believe in order for you become a great writer, you need to read and write often. When it comes to writing, I believe the sky is the limit; everywhere you look there is a story waiting to be written.
