Young Writers:
Purpose:
The purpose of the Young Writers Group is to promote literacy through the joy of reading and creative writing. This creative writing workshop will allow each student to create stories and outlets.
Each session will last an hour and a half:
Session 1: Ages 8 to 10
Session 2: Ages 12 to 15
Session 3: Ages 16 to 18
Lessons Learned:
At the end of each session, each student will learn:
Tools needed for writing
The writing process (who, what, where)
Develop believable characters
Create believable plots
Getting past writers block
Create a short story
